I was involved from the very early stages of the project, beginning with interpreting the client’s requirements and developing the initial sketch design. The site is located in Haberfield, a Heritage Conservation Area, which placed limitations on the extent of demolition allowed. We conducted a pre-DA meeting with the council and refined the design based on their feedback. I then completed the Development Application (DA) drawings including BASIX certificate in alignment with the heritage and planning controls.

This was a small residential project for a lovely couple and their growing family, who wanted a ground floor extension and an additional first-floor level. I worked closely with the Principal Architect at Figgis and Jefferson during the sketch design phase. My responsibilities included developing the full sketch design drawings, creating photomontages and shadow analysis to visualise the proposal, and preparing the Pre-DA drawing set in line with local planning controls.

I was involved in the sketch design stage of a three-storey vacation house located near the beach, offering stunning natural scenery. The project presented exciting design opportunities, and my role focused on exploring layout options and architectural concepts that responded to both the site’s coastal context and the client's lifestyle aspirations.
